Production Designer & Digital Archivist Intern - AMB Sports + Entertainment (Atlanta, GA)


The Creative Services Seasonal Position with AMB Sports + Entertainment (Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United and Mercedes-Benz Stadium) will provide valuable insights into the inner workings of a professional sports franchise and the creative department that services the teams needs. While contributing as a member of the Creative Services team for a full calendar year, the Seasonal Production Designer will be responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks including administrative, digital asset management, print and web production. This internship is ideal for candidates with a knowledge and passion graphic design and photography.

The seasonal production designer is directly responsible for assisting the AMBSE Creative team with design production prioritizing quick turn projects, production design through the design of forward thinking graphic elements that maintain the continuity of the teams’ and stadium brands across both traditional and interactive mediums.  These mediums include publications, sales collateral, marketing materials, campaign assets, ads, direct mail, outdoor installations, season tickets, annual schedule items, in-stadium signage, social media channels, sales and marketing presentations, IAB ads for,, and more. Additionally, this role will be extremely involved in assisting the Production Coordinator with maintaining, archiving and tagging the organizations digital assets. This one-year seasonal position balances creative thinking with high volume rapid response and production work in a fun fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Adaptation of design elements to carry out the continuity of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United and Mercedes-Benz Stadium brands throughout all graphics

  • Developing and working from template systems

  • Prepare images for production through masking, color correction and photo retouching techniques

  • Build custom creative presentations and mockups

  • Updating and archiving stadium seating charts and maps

  • Managing assets within teams digital library


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Degree in graphic design

  • 1 or more years of active employment as a creative professional; experience in sports and/or entertainment a plus

  • Ability to contribute 30 hours a week

  • Must present a portfolio of works that represents a diverse creative skill set including:

    • Typography

    • Identity / logo design

    • Photo editing and compositing

    • Data visualization / Infographics

    • Proficient in developing both vector and raster graphics

    • Multipage layout

  • Mastery of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

  • Excellent design sense; thorough understanding of design theory including principles such as color, typography and composition

  • Solid design expertise in social media and digital user experience

  • Experience working with meta data and digital asset management

  • Demonstrated experience working across key digital platforms - desktop, tablet and mobile

  • Experience with client relationships, understanding client needs and meeting deadlines

  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments

  • In depth understanding of the NFL and MLS

  • light -moderate illustration skills

Engineering Intern - Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, GA)

Assists Stadium Operations department with day to day administrative tasks, building maintenance, and event related preparations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing high level of customer service to both NFL and MLS teams, maintaining absolute neutrality on all team issues and protecting confidentiality of each teams’ information
  • Coordinate outside service/vendor arrival, check-in, and check out (nonevent days)
    • Chaperone/guide vendors to specific areas of Stadium to allow for completion of sub contracted work
  • Research and source supplies and equipment
    • Make local pick-ups/deliveries of supplies and equipment when necessary
  • Performs site surveys and visual inspections of various Stadium elements to determine maintenance requirements:
    • Seating, walls, flooring, millwork, lighting, etc.
  • Conducts physical inventories/inspections of Stadium Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment
  • Works all stadium major events and special events as needed to assist with event preparation, event coordination, and stadium shutdown
  • Perform data entry; creation of spreadsheets, word docs and other files as needed
  • Helps maintain Stadium Archive/Record Room (SARR)
    • Organizes and files blueprints, operation & maintenance manuals, finish schedules, CAPEX project documents, certificates of insurance, inspection records, invoices, etc.

•     Assist Stadium Operations department in maintaining accurate and organized records

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university, valid driver’s license
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms use hands to handle, or feel, stand, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, walk and sit;
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while twisting and/or turning working at heights and frequent climbing of stairs and ladders;
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Required Skills

  • Some knowledge of policies, practices, and techniques used in building management;
  • Ability to express ideas orally and in writing;
  • Ability to establish a rapport with all levels of management, employees, contractors, and the public;
  • Ability to operate a variety of office machines including copier, and fax.
  • Be customer-service oriented, have a fan-friendly attitude and a professional appearance at all times;
  • Above average computer skills including, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Sequel databases, or other database programs
  • Strong interest in Facility Management a must

Work Environment: 

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, the noise level may be loud; 
  • Employees must be able to work on evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
