Technical Analyst - AMB Sports & Entertainment (Atlanta, GA)

Position Summary

The position will serve as an experienced member of the technical support team and will provide all aspects of client support to meet the needs of our associates. This will include support and device management for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers & multifunction copiers, phones, and other peripheral equipment. This person will be a primary contact for support at our Atlanta offices and will also work with our support team to provide assistance to many of our other locations.

This position requires a high-energy individual who has a passion for this field of work and the ability to be a self-starter. This position should take initiative in planning, implementing, and troubleshooting the client support environment within the businesses. This position will work with others in the team to ensure a secure computing environment across the enterprise.

Must be able to carry a cell phone and respond quickly to occasional requests for critical assistance (24 x 7). Working home games and other selected weekends will be required. Some occasional travel may be required; must be able to commute to our Flowery Branch office when needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree.
  • Certifications desired: HDI: Support Center Analyst, MCSA: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience

Required Skills

  • Must be comfortable providing technical support at the client level as well as designing and administering solutions for the whole enterprise. 
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills are required to interact and consult with staff at all levels including senior level management and build strong client relationships.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage tasks for on-time delivery; must be self-motivated and perform as a team player.  Experience working out of a ticketing system required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Possess strong problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, productivity software, and networking. Experience with Windows 7/8, Mac OSX, Microsoft Office, iOS required.
  • Ideal candidate would have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory / Group Policy management, Microsoft Exchange, and common desktop security and automation tools.
  • Prior experience managing office telecommunications and network/server administration is a definite plus. Some experience with virtualization and PowerShell/VB scripting desired.
  • Must have a healthy understanding of enterprise networking and VPN solutions.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of client antivirus solutions and ways to secure the desktop computing environment.
  • Work in compliance with relevant corporate policies and best practices and communicate those to clients at all levels
  • Be comfortable coaching, mentoring, and training junior level staff
  • Must also have a strong drive to develop and constantly update technical skills.
  • Must be able to lift and move computer equipment of all shapes and sizes independently or with assistance from colleagues.

Data Warehouse Manager - AMB Sports + Entertainment (Atlanta, GA)

AMB Sports & Entertainment (AMBSE) seeks a highly motivated person who will oversee data strategy and the mapping of data flows, with the goal of ensuring the reliability, integrity, and quality of data for the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United FC, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The person in this role will manage the existing data environment, which includes guiding data strategy, expanding the data warehouse to include new sources, and managing data vendors. He or she will also deep-dive into data quality issues that arise and will work to consistently provide clean and de-duplicated customer records for use in multiple systems and departments throughout the organization.

This position reports to the Director of Business Analytics, and will work closely with other analytics team members, IT team members, and leaders across the business.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage AMBSE’s data environment and ensure data reliability/integrity/quality in support of a wide range of business initiatives: fan engagement, fan experience, marketing, sales, stadium operations, etc.

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for data flows in and out of the data warehouse and related systems, incorporating a wide variety of data sources

  • In coordination with AMBSE’s data management vendors, normalize data flows for better integration across multiple business systems

  • Expand the current data environment by importing new data sources and creating connections between various systems and departments

  • Review existing data flows to identify inefficiencies and enact solutions that automate and improve

  • Develop and improve processes that monitor data feeds, with the goal of detecting, repairing, and preventing duplicates, inconsistencies, and other errors

  • Document and organize technical processes/procedures as well as project-specific tasks

  • Create metrics and reports focusing on data architecture and data quality issues

  • Coordinate with other AMBSE technology leaders to handle matters of data governance, privacy, and security, and to help resolve any systems issues that arise within the Business Analytics department

  • Work closely with business analysts to provide data for analysis and reporting needs

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude, with high proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and 5+ years of experience with relational database design/development

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, info systems, analytics, or data science is preferred

  • At least three years of relevant work experience in a data-driven role is preferred

  • Empathy for the sports fan experience is a must; should have the ability to think like a fan and consider those needs in a way that exhibits a high level of integrity and champions the values of the organization

    Required Skills

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and project management skills

  • Ability to think intuitively and creatively about how data is managed and how it applies to solving business problems

  • Strong attention to detail in complex workflows and data structures, with the ability to verify accuracy of numbers and fix issues that lead to data inaccuracies

  • Strong command of Microsoft SQL Server, with advanced understanding of data structures & storage and familiarity with SQL integration services, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL including complex stored procedures, common table expressions, analytic functions, query optimization, and indexing

  • Ability to work with raw data from many different formats and transform it to be useful for end users

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical aspects to employees who possess less technical knowledge

  • Ability to infer requirements from employees with less technical knowledge

  • Ability to track details, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates

  • Comfortable adapting within a fast-paced small-company environment and comfortable with ambiguity when encountering new problems and “unknowable” topics

    In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with a range of application development, data transfer, and scripting languages, such as VB.NET, JSON, C#, R, Python, Scribe, API’s, MDX, etc

  • Familiarity with data warehousing platforms

  • Experience working with customer data to develop a “360-degree view” and “single version of the truth”, ideally in the sports and entertainment industry

  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, IBM Marketing Cloud, and/or Ticketmaster Archtics

  • Experience working with sports data management vendors such as KORE, SSB, IBM, and Ticketmaster

IT Manager - Event Services - AMB Sports + Entertainment (Atlanta, GA)

Position Summary

AMB Sports + Entertainment has an opening for an IT Manager – Event Services. The position will be primarily based in Atlanta, GA at the new Mercedes Benz Stadium but will also work from other locations around Metro Atlanta as needed.

The position will serve as a leader for venue services and event based technology at the Mercedes Benz Stadium (POS, IPTV, Wifi, AV, etc.) as well as additional AMB Sports + Entertainment events hosted at other locations. This position will manage the entire life cycle of technology needed for an event. Some events like Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United games will have a static set of technology needs throughout the season but other events will have more custom tailored needs. This position will work together with Event Managers and event clients to understand the technology needed for a given event and make sure they are in line with capabilities and services that the Stadium can offer. This position will work with our other IT teams and appropriate vendors to setup the needed technology for an event. This position will manage an event based helpdesk that will be comprised of partners and internal IT resources that will work to document and resolve any issues that arise during an event. This position will also work to break down any technology as needed after an event and perform post event assessments. 

This position requires a high-energy individual who has a passion for this field of work and the ability to be a self-starter. This position is a hands-on management position and will require a very broad technical skill set. This position will work very closely with other teams in IT, other stadium departments, and vendors.

Must be able to carry a cell phone and respond quickly to occasional requests for critical assistance (24 x 7). Working events at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be required. This position is in a technical services group and therefore may require this individual to participate in any operational rotations, such as on-call rotation and off hour implementations. Some occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, IT related desired
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Prior IT management experience required
  • Vendor and Project management experience required
  • ServiceNow or similar ticketing system administration required.
  • GPO and AD management experience desired
  • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit or similar imaging platform experience desired
  • MaaS 360 / Airwatch or other MDM platform experience desired
  • Avaya Communication Manager or similar phone system management desired

Required Skill

  • Supervise event support team and ensure event support coverage by managing schedules for event support team
  • Must be comfortable providing technical support at a senior level and being an escalation point for event based technology issues. Must also be comfortable serving as a relationship manager with key departmental stakeholders
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage tasks across the team for on-time delivery. Experience managing employees out of a ticketing system and project management system required
  • Develop and implement standards, guidelines, and policies for venue service technology in collaboration with IT leadership
  • Gather data and metrics from ticket system to share with IT leadership regularly
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences. Experience maintaining an IT knowledge base strongly desired
  • Experience sending out broad IT messages to staff required

Position Summary

The position will serve as a member of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium IT and will work with other team members to meet the infrastructure of the stadium and support the needs of our associates. The average work week will consist of 20 to up to 30 hours per week.

Information Systems: Technical Services Management
Controls & Roof Technician - Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, GA)

Position Summary

Provides technical support to the Stadium Operations Department which consists of Engineering and Building Services. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Functions as the primary department representative for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC controls and roof system control problems.

  • Performs preventive maintenance and/or schedules outside service for all control equipment as required or directed.

  • Assists Director of Stadium Operations with initial development and ongoing operating plan for the operable roof:

    • Coordinates preventive maintenance and service repair of operable roof components, as required or directed.

    • Trains and certifies personnel to maintain a group of individuals who will serve as the roof operations team.

  • Takes lead role for receiving and interpreting MBS (Mercedes Benz Stadium) event schedule and programs or “time schedules” the BAS (Building Automation System – Johnson Controls Metasys) and ETC (Electronic Theatre Controls) lighting control systems.

    • Modifies control programming to improve process controllability and reduce energy consumption, looking for energy saving opportunities at all times.

  • Assists Director of Stadium Operations with the development of operating budget projections for HVAC control and roof systems.

    • Provides input for long-term CAPEX (Capital Improvement) concepts for controls and roof systems.

  • Coordinates roof membrane/leak repairs as necessary or required.  Ensures proper inflation of roof petal structure at all times.

  • Other tasks/duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • College degree in Engineering field desired.  Minimum of seven-(7) plus years of direct related work experience in troubleshooting and repairing of control systems. 

  • Must have keen understanding of low volt control system design, theories, methods, and strategies.  Full understanding of AC and DC voltages, PLC’s, DCS’s, transmitters, sensors, variable speed drives, etc. 

     

    Required Skills

  • Advanced analog and digital control system technical skills; able to read and interpret complex control circuit wiring diagrams, signal flow, inputs/outputs, etc.

  • Superior communication skills, dedication to customer service, high degree of professionalism

  • Able to provide after-hours assistance when required, and capable of working nights, weekends, or other hours as required to support Stadium Operations.
