Video Engineer - Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, GA)

Position Summary

The video engineer will be responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer with the overall technical maintenance of Video and Audio systems, control room, equipment and supporting A/V infrastructure for Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta Falcons Football and Atlanta United FC MLS Soccer.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage Network Truck I/O, ENG interconnect room, and SAT/ENG pedestals.

  • Work closely with the Chief Engineer to prepare for all games & special events.

  • Prepare, set and test all AV equipment ahead of events start time to ensure all proper functionality

  • Keep the asset management database current.

  • Focused support of Daktronics, Display, Scoring and Production Systems: maintenance, cleaning, repair, monitoring, upgrade and documentation of all Daktronics systems.

  • Assist with routine maintenance to AV equipment and maintain a clean, labeled, and organized inventory of equipment and tools.

  • Train and help oversee game day engineering game crew.

  • Other duties may and will be assigned. 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent Technical Degree in video/audio engineering and/or 5 years of experience in video and broadcast engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the sports/broadcast entertainment field. 

Required Skills

  • Self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision

  • Be able to work effectively with other departments receiving and communicating instructions via telephone or in person

  • Be able to read and understand technical materials

  • Able to set priorities under pressure of deadlines

  • Able to concentrate for long periods of time

  • Must be flexible to accommodate shift changes including extended hours, weekends, and evenings

  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team to carry out hands-on technical responsibilities.
  • Hold a valid driver's license. 

  • Must be flexible to accommodate shift changes including extended hours, weekends, and evenings.

  •  Working knowledge of broadcast station operations.

Football Operations: Media/Video Production
Audio Engineer - Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, GA)

Position Summary

The audio engineer will be responsible for the audio operations at Mercedes-Benz Stadium including but not limited to audio mixing console and ancillary audio equipment to deliver quality sound to the audio distribution system for Atlanta Falcons Football and Atlanta United FC MLS Soccer and all third party events.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage audio control room and technical infrastructure at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
  • Test and prepare audio systems and equipment for use at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
  • Mix multiple audio sources: host/guest microphones, PA, Ref mics, music and sound effects for Atlanta Falcons Football and Atlanta United FC MLS Soccer, as well as other live events.
  • Assist Video Production team on audio recording for Atlanta Falcons & Atlanta United
  • Train and assist game day audio operations
  • Oversee game day audio operations

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent Technical Degree in sound/audio engineering and/or 5 years of experience in large venue, live events mixing
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the sports/broadcast entertainment field.
